MILITARY INSIGNIA COLLECTORS RETURN TO THE DRAWBRIDGE INN

Fort Mitchell, KY/August 5, 2008-The American Society of Military Insignia Collectors returns to the Drawbridge Inn Friday, August 29 through Sunday, August 31.

Event organizer Jim McDuff says collectors of all ages are welcome and are expected. “We attract people from all parts of the US and from Europe. The majority collects US military insignia and uniforms from the Civil War to the present. However, some also collect military items from other countries,” added McDuff.

One display highlighting the show offering 100 exhibitors is a collection of US Army Infantry Regimental badges from 1921 to present. The public portion of the show is Friday, August 29 from noon to 8 p.m. and Saturday, August 30th from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Information: 913-631-3942.

The mission of the Northern Kentucky Convention and Visitors Bureau is that of an aggressive sales, marketing, service and informational organization whose primary responsibility is to positively impact the Northern Kentucky economy through conventions, meetings and visitor expenditures. The direct economic impact of visitors’ spending in Campbell, Kenton and Boone Counties in 2007 was $325 million.
